If you've been spending your winter days chowing down on comfort food and packing on a few pounds, you might be ready for something a little more healthy. How does a crisp salad sound? Or maybe a stuffed poblano pepper or herb roasted potatoes? If you're feeling like some food that will make you feel good on the inside, head to Zest Kitchen & Bar in Salt Lake City.
When you're feeling like eating real, good, healthy food, visit Zest Kitchen & Bar. You'll find it in downtown Salt Lake City on 275 S. 200 W.
You'll love the light, bright atmosphere here, and the service is always friendly.
And the food...oh, my! Everything served here is plant-based, incredibly fresh, and full of flavor.
Don't think for a moment that plant-based food is bland, or boring. At Zest, they've figured out how to bring out all the best flavors of the ingredients they use in their recipes.
The menu includes yummy entrees like a crispy polenta skillet baked on a bed of marinara sauce and served with squash, mushrooms, broccolini, onions, and greens.
These dishes are filling enough that you'll have trouble saving room for dessert.
The Cuban tacos, shown above, are made with orange-marinated jackfruit, mushrooms, pico de gallo, fresh avocado, cilantro, and mango compote.
Of course, you should definitely make some room for dessert. The offerings on the dessert menu are all surprisingly decadent, and downright addictive.
Zest is also a bar, and it serves everything from tangy, non-alcoholic juices to some seriously creative cocktails and tasty sangrias.
Visit Zest for lunch, dinner, appetizers, and drinks. It opens at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
