After a long day of exploring Dinosaur National Monument, you'll be ready for some juicy burgers and cold beers. Here's a little pub that offers both, and the food is seriously delicious.
Vernal Brewing Company opened in 2013, and it's been crafting excellent beer and serving delicious food ever since.
You'll find it at 55 S. 500 E.
in Vernal.
You'll love the ambiance here, too. This is not a scruffy dive bar; it's light, bright and modern.
This place is a restaurant, not a bar...so you can bring the kids!
The company brews some unique craft beers, including Allosaurus Amber, Rigor Mortis Red Ale, Pilgrimage Extra Pale Ale and more.
They also make up one-of-a-kind small batches that you can try while you're there.
The beer is fabulous, but the food is just as good. Kick off your meal with a plate of tangy, spicy chicken wings.
Vegetarians will appreciate the Tree Hugger Sandwich. It includes avocado, baby heirloom tomato, assorted greens, red onion, queso fresco and avocado aioli.
Try a VBC Calzone - it's almost as big as your head and stuffed with mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, onion, bell pepper, and mushroom.
If you're in need of some comfort food, you've got to try the mac n cheese. Watch for the loaded mac specials, which add a little kick to the regular cheesy dish.
The chicken pot pie is pretty amazing comfort food, too.
If you're craving something fresh, the steak salad is a great choice.
You can't leave without dessert! The skillet cookie is rich and delicious and perfect to share.
