Most people dine out so they don't have to cook, but this hands-on dining experience in Utah will get you cooking...and enjoying food and friends.
Does cooking seem more like a chore than an exciting event? That's the case for most of us, but Salt Lake Culinary Center is out to change your mind about cooking.
The center offers cooking classes that are aimed at making the kitchen seem more magical...or at least more accessible. It's located at 2233 S. 300 E. in Salt Lake City.
Check out this kitchen. If you're going to get excited to cook a meal, you may as well do it in a glistening, top-of-the-line kitchen.
The center offers lots of different classes.
Take a group class that teaches you cooking fundamentals, introduces you to new International cuisine, or shows you some new recipes.
Try a Date Night class.
This is way better than just going to a romantic restaurant. Instead, you get to play around in someone else's kitchen and have a blast doing it. At the end of the evening, you get to sit down and enjoy a gourmet dinner.
Take a Girls Night class.
No men or kids allowed - just women actually having fun in the kitchen with no one whining, making a mess or crying that they're starving.
Everyone gets lots of hands-on experience...and has a lot of fun in the process.
Classes are small enough that everyone gets some individual attention, but big enough that you'll make some new friends during the class.
The staff here can handle even the most challenging students.
Are you the guy who catches things on fire in the kitchen? Or the woman who can't crack an egg without getting shells in the batter? The folks at Salt Lake Culinary Center gave Salt Lake Tribune's Robert Kirby a huge carving knife and no one died. If that's not the most compelling endorsement, I don't know what is.
Send your kids to cooking school.
Here's a brilliant idea. Send your kids to a Junior Chefs class so that they can learn to cook for you! The center offers kids classes and even birthday parties for kids ages 8-18.
Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and get cooking?
