When you're looking for a tasty, home-cooked meal, Leslie's Family Tree in Santaquin is a great place to stop...however, you may find a hearty helping of "haunted" with your meal. Read on to find out more about the many ghosts that supposedly inhabit this restaurant.
Leslie's Family Tree is located at 77 W. Main Street in Santaquin. The building was constructed in 1974, and originally served as a sporting goods store. It became a restaurant in 1986.
Leslie's is famous for its giant scones...but it's also famous for its hauntings.
Many ghosts supposedly haunt this property.
A lady in a blue nightgown is said to wander around outside the restaurant. She and her small son were apparently killed in a car accident nearby.
A little boy with black hair is often seen in the dining room. he's thought to be the son of the woman in the blue nightgown. One employee reported that he followed her home after a shift at the restaurant.
Leslie's features a large wall with old family photographs. Maybe some of them are haunting the restaurant?
Another ghost that may haunt the property is a previous patron of the bar. He's often seen hanging around, and it's believed that he was once a local resident, and an alcoholic. This ghost is apparently not very nice.
The basement is scary.
The basement, which was once set up as a bomb shelter, apparently houses some scary spirits. One dark spirit could be that of Henry, a previous employee. Paranormal groups report that they have EVP recordings of this spirit threatening to burn the building down.According to a local psychic, the restaurant sits on land that was cursed by Native Americans. She claims that more than 60 Native American spirits reside there.
Remember the movie "Poltergeist?"
Leslie's Family Tree employees report poltergeist activity at the restaurant. Doors open and close, unattended. Some helpful ghosts stack chairs on the tables at night. Others may move highchairs, or knock them over.
