Calling all horror fans! The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre house has reopened as Hooper's, a Southern-style pub with food so good, it's scary. Not only is there movie memorabilia all over the restaurant, but the waiters are also known to dress up like Leatherface from time to time.

Formerly Grand Central Café and Club Car Bar, the iconic Kingsland house from the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre film is now Hooper's, named in honor of Tobe Hooper, the writer and director of the movie.

Hooper's opened in 2022 and is already making a "killing" (pun intended). The menu features pub-style Southern fare with a modern twist, and locals can't get enough.

There is also a full bar serving up craft cocktails, wine, and beer. As someone who doesn't imbibe very often, the names of the cocktails alone make me want to order one!

Personally, I would go for the "Macabre Mule," which features vodka, dry cider, lime, ginger beer, and thyme.

Of course, you'll see movie memorabilia scattered all over the restaurant. It's so much fun to walk around and see if you recognize anything.

Don't be surprised if you have Leatherface as your server. Make sure to pose for a photo - you'll never need another conversation starter!

As far as the food, Hooper's is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and dishes out hearty eats for all three meals.

For brunch, options like steak and eggs, eggs benedict (try it on a buttermilk biscuit instead of an English muffin!), and breakfast tacos promise to keep you full and satisfied until lunch.

Fresh salads, hearty sandwiches, and chef-crafted entrees like tuna bowls and shrimp and grits make up the lunch and dinner menu.

With so many scrumptious selections, you're bound to find something that hits the spot.

If you're craving something that will really stick to your ribs, try the blackened ribeye steak or chicken-fried steak (or chicken-fried chicken).

Please note that entrees are only served after 4 p.m.
