Gas station food gets a bad rap, but Bachman Tacos & Grill in Dallas deserves only the utmost praise. Easily one of the best gas station restaurants in Texas, this unassuming taqueria specializes in a type of meat known as trompo, which is marinated for a whole day, slow-roasted on a spit, and hand-carved. Once you come here, you'll never want to go anywhere else for tacos.

Bachman Tacos & Grill in Dallas is the definition of a "hole-in-the-wall" restaurant. It shares a space with an Exxon station and is easy to pass up, but locals know better than that.
Once inside, the lively decor, friendly workers, and spacious seating area will draw you in - along with, of course, the enticing aromas coming from the kitchen.
The menu isn't huge, but it does offer a varied selection of both traditional and Americanized entrees, so there's plenty to please every palate.
For your choice of meat, I highly recommend going with trompo. Marinated for 24 hours, slow-roasted, and hand-carved, this Mexican delicacy is great in tacos, tortas, burritos, or even a burger!
Just look at that beautiful color! Once you try it, you'll never want to have tacos any other way. All street tacos come three to an order and include fresh-cut onions and cilantro, plus rice, refried beans, caramelized onions, lime, and a grilled serrano pepper on the side.
Other meats include chicken, pork, chicharrón, barbacoa, and more. No matter what you choose, your taste buds are in for a treat.
Besides tacos, the menu also features tortas, burritos, quesadillas, and even breakfast tacos!
Visit the Bachman Tacos & Grill website for more information such as a full menu. If you can't make it to the restaurant in person, you can also place a delivery order via Grubhub.
