If you're in search of the best homemade pasta in Texas, look no further than Piattello Italian Kitchen in Fort Worth. From ravioli to spaghetti and everything in between, all of the pasta here is made from scratch, and you can definitely taste the difference.
It's rare to find restaurants that make everything from scratch, which is what makes Piattello Italian Kitchen in Fort Worth such a gem.
Owned by award-winning chef Marcus Paslay, this one-of-a-kind eatery features a seasonally-rotating menu featuring fresh pastas, hand-stretched pizza dough, homemade bread, and more.
The ambiance is sleek and elegant without being stuffy. Eating here feels like dining in a charming neighborhood Italian restaurant where everyone is made to feel like family.
As soon as you step inside, you'll see employees hard at work pulling dough, shaping pasta, and plating charcuterie boards. With so much attention to detail, there can only be one possible outcome: truly incredible food.
While I can't go into detail about specific dishes since the menu changes seasonally, I can give you a rough outline of what to expect. You'll always see a selection of appetizers, salads, pizzas, pasta dishes, and other entrees (both meat-based and vegetarian).
The quality of the pasta is truly unmatched. Whether you order ravioli or spaghetti, nothing compares to sinking your teeth into pasta that was made just minutes before making it onto your plate as opposed to sitting on a grocery store shelf for who knows how long.
I usually go for longer pasta shapes (a good pappardelle is my all-time favorite!). There's just something about twirling the strands onto my fork and watching them pick up all the delicious sauce that sends me straight to foodie heaven.
As for the other dishes, you can always anticipate seeing classic pizza options such as margherita and pepperoni, plus entrees such as eggplant parmesan.
The salads at Piattello are always home-runs. I love a good Italian chopped salad, but you truly can't go wrong here.
I urge you to at least try to save some room for dessert. Whether you go for tiramisu, pistachio cake, affogato, or a seasonal offering, rest assured you'll leave the table happily full. The wine list is also beyond impressive!
