There's something sweet about going to a themed restaurant, whether you're in the heart of the south or on the top of a skyscraper in New York City. We came across the Trolley Market Stop in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee and couldn't believe the low-key and down-home charm that just exudes from the beautiful space. If you're looking to enjoy the atmosphere and heart of a local Tennessee eatery, this is the trolley restaurant for you.
The Trolley Stop prides itself as not a farm-to-table...but a tractor to trolley kind of restaurant!
The full, unique menu offers fresh meals from a creative burger to a freshly assembled pizza. This kind of restaurant knows precisely where all of their ingredients come from, which means you not only have a good meal but a fresh tasting meal!
We're big fans of the pizza - especially their Greektastic and Shrimp Scampi options - but there's a solid handful to choose from for both the carnivorous and vegetarian members of your group.
The country atmosphere makes for a fun experience, especially with the communal seating around the picnic tables in the main dining room. Shelves of local goods line the walls, perfect for gifts or a fun addition to your home kitchen.
There's seriously something for everyone at this fun local spot. It may be more quirky than down-home, but we love the elevated atmosphere and fun "trek" to the farm we get to experience through our vegan Truck Patch Nachos and Protein Lover's Pizza.
You can visit (and indulge!) for yourself at 704 Madison Avenue in Memphis, Tennessee. We'll be waiting!
You can continue to experience the artsy beauty of this great state with a visit to some of these fun small town spots.
