9. Clarence's Drive-In - Unicoi
Clarence's is a local legend - having been open for years, this is the kind of place that serves multiple generations great breakfasts over and over again. You may just find yourself roadtripping out for a great meal every once in awhile - we'd recommend it! (4021 Unicoi Drive)
8. Milk & Honey - Chattanooga
Milk & Honey is a darling (tiny!) eatery located just across the river from downtown Chattanooga. Their farmhouse biscuit has become something of a legend, and they offer goodies like fresh baked pastries and ice cream for dessert. (135 N. Market Street)
7. Rankin Restaurant - Knoxville
Rankin Restaurant has been around for a hot second, a spot that is insanely popular during the weekends but always worth the wait. Head over early for an immediate seat for a cheap, delicious breakfast that lies just off the beaten path. (2200 North Central Street)
6. Aretha Frankensteins - Chattanooga
This quirky eatery is fun and WILDLY popular - we'd recommend pitching up early, folks. The wait for biscuits and gravy, however, is most definitely worth it. Eat outside during the warmer months, enjoy a toasty biscuit with butter in the winter. (518 Tremont Street)
5. Marcy Jo's Mealhouse - Columbia
This is the small town mealhouse that could, a darling small spot situated about an hour from Nashville. Homestyle décor and a fabulous staff make their biscuits even better, coupling the flaky, buttery breakfast bread with a smile. (4205 US-431)
4. The Maple Street Biscuit Company - Chattanooga
This is one of the best spots in Chattanooga to enjoy a breakfast of biscuits and gravy. Known as the best spot for biscuits in the city, you can indulge in breakfast on the weekdays or breakfast AND dinner on the weekend. Every time is great for bread and meaty gravy, right? Right. 3. Arcade Restaurant - Memphis
This is the oldest café in Memphis, and it's on the National Registrar of Historic Places. Since its history stretches so far back into Tennessee history, it makes sense their biscuits and gravy are melt-in-your-mouth good. (540 South Main Street)
2. Biscuit Love - Nashville
Biscuit Love took Nashville by storm a couple of years ago and has since only grown their epic, cult-like following. With a space that's open and industrial, located in the Gulch, you have the chance to enjoy a down-home breakfast in the most modern of places. Try their biscuit donuts, too! The bo-nut is epic. Ah, yes. Loveless Café. You knew this historic and well-known restaurant was going to make an appearance, didn't you? Their biscuit recipe has been under-wraps for years, held tight and secret to the heart of this darling Nashville spot. (8400 Tennessee Highway 100)
