There's just something about a burger that gets our mouths watering and minds going a million miles per hour. Isn't it the classic meal of the United States? It's truly a magical experience, complete with french fries and ketchup, and gooey cheese topped with crispy bacon. We're making ourselves go crazy just thinking about it. You with us on this, Tennessee? While we were on the hunt for a classic American meal, we found Dyer's Burgers. Did we "find" it? Well, no. It's a classic spot in Memphis. But we fell in love with it all over again, and have a feeling that you will too...
Dyer's Burgers has been featured nationally for their delicious, down-home eats, and the tiny eatery calls western Tennessee home. The historic spot is located on Beale Street, the main tourist walkabout in the city.
Quaint, low-key and perfect for families, the famous Double Double burger has been featured across the United States as one of the best around. The reason? Well, we're guessing it's the century-old grease that the burgers are fried in.
Wait, what? 100-year-old grease? Yep, it's true. The eatery is clean as a whistle, but the garlic-laden grease they utilize daily has been aged to delicious perfection.
There she is. We're about ready to order if you are, friends.
Get your burger with a classic side of fries for a great price, folks. That's the neatest thing about Dyer's - it has the retro vibe and delicious eats of an upscale spot, but the price is always right. You have to respect that in a space, you know. It's the customer and the food that matters here.
Make sure to visit for yourself at 205 Beale Street in Memphis, Tennessee.
