Memphis is known for its epic barbecue and streetwise southern hospitality, but have you ever heard of the Silky O' Sullivan's pet goats? Located in the Beale Street Entertainment District, Silky O' Sullivan's is a true local legend and a homing beacon for tourists from all around. Come for a bit of Irish flavor and some southern flare, and maybe stay for the goat. We promise. It's weird and it's worth it!
Silky O' Sullivan's can be found right on Beale Street, a famed and historic walking street right in the heart of downtown Memphis, Tennessee. It's an Irish pub located in a century-old building complete with an outdoor patio and pet goat (!!!).
Let's just cut to the chase: Silky O' Sullivan's is home to drunk, tower-climbing goats. It's real. Sure you can order a plate of barbecue and take in a dueling piano show, but the outdoor seating area has its own goat pen.
Here you'll find some fully sauced goats lapping up beer and climbing the Silky O' Sullivan's tower. Don't worry, friends. Nary a goat has been lost due to drunken climbing. It makes for a fun and quirky experience!
Silky O' Sullivan's celebrates St. Patrick's Day all year long, and inside you'll find a fun, neon-soaked vibe with live entertainment and a heap of cocktails, beers, and wines that will get you through the night.
Make sure you check with Silky O' Sullivan's to see if there are any special menus implemented for the day of your visit but know that you can always expect favorites like French fries, pork rinds, chicken tenders, and burgers on the menu.
Get ready for a full influx of comfort food, folks. Might we recommend the Rajun Cajun Chicken Sandwich? It's a true indulgence!
