Old Glory is located in the heart of Nashville, Tennessee, a bar that reflects the quirky qualities of the city's heart all the while emphasizing its history. We took a trip down to Edgehill Village and spent and evening sipping gin and tonics in the dark, electric atmosphere. The air of mystery and stark edge of cool elevates the entire experience - which means you'll be back.
Old Glory, a newly turned one-year-old bar in Edgehill Village continues to take Nashville's nighttime scene by storm. Run by two sisters with a penchant for a great cocktail, the family-owned space is beautifully decorated with a nod to its Middle Tennessee location.
The neat nighttime space is located in what used to be a boiler room. Yep, White Way Cleaners is long gone - but their location has been given new life. Many of the natural elements of the space was used to give the bar a neat, industrial feel. So don't worry about the large cement blocks or the smokestack - it's meant to be there. And it's pretty dang neat.
Once you make your way down the sweeping staircase you're going to want to order something fabulous. And you won't be disappointed. Old Glory offers small plates with a focus on specialty cocktails, and their space seats up to 80 people. There is plenty of standing room as well.
The bar isn't marked by a garish sign or neon lights. No, you'll find it in the alleyway behind their building at 1200 Villa Place. The door is marked by a golden triangle. Once you make your way through it? Down the beautiful staircase you go, into an elusive and exciting addition to Nashville's local nighttime scene.
You can visit for yourself at 1200 Villa Place, Suite 103. Closed on Mondays, you can visit Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm to 1am, or on Sundays from 12pm to midnight. Have fun!
