We've spent a whole year highlighting burgers and delicious eats across Tennessee, but we've finally come to a decision: the BEST burger in the state. That's a hard thing to decide, because there are a ton of fantastic and delicious eats from one end to the other. Finally, we made a decision. A hard one. A really terribly difficult decision...and ended up in Murfreesboro. Are you shocked yet?!
When it came to making a decision on a burger joint (there are so many amazing restaurants!), we landed on Buster's Place in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. It's a low-key, local joint that keeps things simple and solid - just the way the south likes it.
You're not going to see a whole bunch of tourists around here, even though Buster's is considered the best burger in Murfreesboro. The atmosphere is low-key and casual, which means your burger and fries are served up with no frills and a whole lot of character.
Their classic cheeseburger is always a winner. Buster's makes sure to use fresh ingredients and every meal is prepared fresh-to-order. There's really nothin' like the simple pleasures, wouldn't you say?
Still, there are a few stand outs on the menu. Buster's likes to keep you guessing, and their surprising specials will have you returning time and time again. Here you can see their Buster Burger, famed for its delicious decadence has rich cheese sauce, jalapeños and chorizo sausage on top!
Would you dare try their meatball marinara cheeseburger with mozzarella?
The Ring of Fire Burger also looks like a winner, with spicy bbq sauce and and an onion ring to top it all off. This looks like heartburn in a hamburger...but the best kind of heartburn there is comes from a fabulous meal like this.
Would you visit for yourself? It was hard to come up with ONE winner, because we're sure your favorite spot ever is fabulous and wonderful and good. Still, Buster's has been slinging burgers since 1973, and we don't think their delicious reign is going to end anytime soon. You can visit at 1615 NW Broad Street in Murfreesboro.
This stunning North Pole train is ALSO a good wintry idea...
