Tennessee hosts an army of small-town restaurants and bakeries. It's the south, what else would you expect?! With such a sugar rush of opportunity and locations to choose from, sometimes it can be hard to slim down scads of great spots to just one or two: so we did the hard work for you. If you're located in Middle Tennessee or simply just passing through, a visit to Triple Crown Bakery should be high on your list of places to visit.
Triple Crown Bakery is where that delicious, sugary-sweet smell is coming from down on Columbia in Franklin, Tennessee. The tiny space has made an incredible name for itself in the greater Nashville area, and takes great pride in its wonderful cakes, cookies and pastries made daily.
Although the space itself is fairly small, the kind greetings that waft through the door will make you feel at home in no time. Indulge in a muffin or a cup of coffee, wax poetic with the kind folk behind the counter or order a specialty item to-go.
Alena Vaughn, pastry chef and owner, hails from Southern California and took a strong liking to the south after relocating. She's built a beautiful hometown "bakery on the corner" that effuses the heart of celebration with sweet southern sass.
Whether you're celebrating a simple and sweet new beginning...
...welcoming a little one...
...or simply celebrating the little things in life, Triple Crown is the kind of small town bakery that takes your sugary dreams and spins them into an unbelievably delicious reality.
We're partial to celebrating the royal wedding (over and over and over again) and it only gets better with one of these delicious treats.
There's no shortage of baked goods at this humble local spot, and these fresh berry tarts with brown butter filling make for a perfect seasonal indulgence.
Irish Soda Bread was made fresh for St. Patricks Day, and a whole deluge of seasonal deliciousness descends upon this little corner of Franklin come autumn and early winter. Triple Crown doesn't miss a beat when it comes to celebrating.
Even National Donut Day was celebrated with heaps of sugary fanfare.
No occasion is too big or too small for this tiny place that could. Triple Crown burst onto the scene amidst a massive Nashville industry boom yet has managed to rise significantly above the chain stores towards the city.
These sticky buns don't lie - you're in a for a real treat.
