Have you ever had one of those weeks where nothing goes right, and you want nothing more than just to run away and leave everything else behind? We here at Only in South Dakota know the feeling, which is why we are thrilled to introduce you to the scenic Schade Vineyard & Winery and their rows of gorgeous vines:
Located in the small and charming town of Volga is the equally lovely Schade Vineyard & Winery, which believes in "Good wines and good times."
What began as a hobby in 1999 has turned into a South Dakota icon, as owners Jim and Nancy Schade and their many delicious wines have become a staple in homes across the region.
What makes Schade wines stand out from its competitors? It is thanks to such delicious flavors as Oakwood Red, Black chokeberry, Honey, and a Tranquility rose, all of which are crafted with high-quality, locally-grown fruits.
Spanning dozens of lush acres, there is plenty to see and do at the Schade Vineyard & Winery, beginning with tastings and unique pairings...
...Shopping and special vendor events...
...And, of course, strolling along the picturesque vineyard.
Have you ever wanted to make your OWN wine! Thanks to Schade Vineyard & Winery, you now have a chance, as they even host an annual Labor Day grape stomp (a la I Love Lucy)!
