1. Alternative Fuel Coffee House (Rapid City)

2. Shakespeare Garden & Anne Hathaway Cottage (Wessington Springs)

For a more traditional English tea, visit the Shakespeare Garden & Anne Hathaway Cottage. This authentic thatched-roof cottage was modeled after Stratford-upon-Avon in England! 3. The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center (Spearfish)

One of the most beloved of Christmas traditions is the Matthews Opera House's annual Holiday High Tea, which costs $30 per person and includes not only tea and refreshments, but also live entertainment and an exciting silent auction. 4. Tasteas (Sioux Falls)

Like Alternative Fuel, Tasteas is more of a modern, laid-back tea room, but is still worth a visit for their innovative drink selection, which is served either hot or cold. 5. Pettigrew Home and Museum (Sioux Falls)

If you are in the Sioux Falls area and crave Victorian over modern, you are in luck, as the Pettigrew Museum offers quarterly high teas within the historic Queen Anne home. In addition to the quarterly teas, Pettigrew hosts an annual Victorian Girl Day Camp complete with tours, period games, and a special tea.
