Some restaurants have really good food but terrible service. Some have wonderful service with mediocre food. And a few have both. Then there are things like unique concepts, great culture, and more that make a dining experience even better. There’s at least one restaurant in Greenville, South Carolina that offers all of these things: Sully’s Steamers!

When you eat at Sully's Steamers, it's more than a great meal, but we'll get to that shortly. First ... the delicious sandwich of your choice is made with fresh ingredients stuffed into a bagel and placed into a steamer until the bagel gets warm and soft, allowing the ingredients to achieve peak flavor. Let's introduce you to a few of these characters...

Each of the sandwiches on the Sully's Steamers menu has been inspired and named with thoughtful intention. Many are named after TV or movie characters, while others are named after something local or someone personal and special to the owner, Sully, and his family. Meet the Bob Loblaw, inspired by a character from one of Sully's favorite shows, Arrested Development.

This sandwich is made with turkey, cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce, and honey mustard. “You, Sir, Are a Mouthful!” Now, if this is the sandwich for you, you'll need to know that it's a part of the secret menu, also known as the "Legacy Menu" – as Sully's has grown and updated its menu, these moved off the current menu but are still available to be ordered by request!

There is something to be said about good neighbors (if you're not so sure, try living around bad neighbors for awhile!). Meet the Neigborino, named after the greatest neighbor ever, Ned Flanders (from the Simpsons show), and also a nod to Sully's former neighbor, Drew Parker, who was one of the first to really believe in Sully's and co-owns the Brevard and Mauldin stores. It's made with turkey, muenster, tomatoes, sprouts, avocado, and honey mustard. “Howdy!”

The Hello Newman features pastrami, bacon, onions, muenster, sprouts, tomatoes, mayo, and horseradish and is a homage to Seinfeld. The pastrami reminded Sully of New York City and, therefore, Seinfeld!

Sully's favorite, The Griswold, is of course, a vacation! It's loaded with a tasty combination of turkey, bacon, provolone, pepper Jack, lettuce, BBQ, and parm-peppercorn.

And Griswold fans can now keep a bit of Christmas vacation around all year.

Now, the Blondie is a special sandwich because it's inspired by Sully's beautiful wife and is a shout-out to the cartoon character wife of Dagwood. It comes with turkey, veggie cream cheese, provolone, sprouts, and honey mustard.

These sandwiches are just a few of the 25+ choices you have, and you get to choose what type of bagel your sandwich is made with.

Sully's Steamers offers delicious Methodical coffee from the local Methodical Cafe in Greenville, the perfect complement to your bagel sandwich, unless of course, you prefer something else such as soda or tea. Bags of chips are also available in a variety of flavors.

Eating at Sully's Steamers is much more of an experience than just sitting down for a meal. It's a comfortable, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere.

If you're at the Greenville location, you may just have an opportunity to meet Sully himself. He's a down-to-earth overall great guy you'll really enjoy meeting and speaking with.

And now, for a bit of exciting news ... Sully's Steamers is currently in the process of expanding and will be opening some new locations soon. Pictured here is Andrew (second from right, with Sully on the far right), who started as a crew member in downtown Greenville over eight years ago and will be the first official graduate of the Sully’s Franchise Ownership Pipeline program. He plans to open his Sully's location in Eastside Greenville (exact location TBD) sometime in 2023.

The Columbia area will soon have a Sully's Steamers as well on Devine Street. The projected timeframe for that location to open is June 2023!
