Tandem Crêperie and Coffeehouse opened in 2014, a culmination of the dreams of husband and wife team, Brad and Kristen Hartman, who desired to share delicious food and foster a community atmosphere.
They've done just that. Any given day, you can wander in and find groups of friends gathering for a deliciously tasteful and equally beautiful cup of joe, and perhaps a treat or two from the kitchen.
Crêpes, of course, are the focal point of the menu. Each one carefully created in-house — poured, filled and folded to perfection. Then topped with an artistry of sweet swirls and dollops.
There is an entire menu of crêpes, including those of the savory variety, like the lumberjack and grazing goat, to name a couple. The sweet menu includes tiramisu, lemon sugar and blueberry cream, and more. But that's not all...
Once you've tried them all (as in returning every single day for like, two weeks) and you're all crêped-out, you can switch to the waffle menu. The one shown in the photo below is the gingerbread waffle. Yum!

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L. Why I Love It: Fact: Airplanes are notoriously dry, dry, dry. No matter how much water I drink both before and during the flight, I always find myself in a hydration deficit for days. When my son was just a little guy, he was at the store in the toy section looking at stuffed Pooh Bears with my husband, who picked one up to show him. My son’s response was to point to a larger-sized one close by, which is the one he ended up with that day! Since that time, he has “grown up” so much and has learned that important life lesson that bigger isn’t always better. We could all think of numerous examples, and Scändi Tiny Coffee, a coffee shop in Greer, S.C., is an excellent one.

Scändi Tiny Coffee is located in the upstate city of Greer. It's a part of the Lake Walk Tiny Home Community, one of about a handful or so tiny home communities that have been established in South Carolina.
If you don't find available seating indoors, there are plenty of options in this Greer coffee shop's outdoor space, complete with swings, cornhole, plenty of tables, a fire pit, and beautiful landscaping. During the winter season, heaters provide extra warmth. And on occasion, there's live music to drink in along with the coffee.
The menu offers a nice variety, including specials such as this birthday latte that was offered when the coffee shop celebrated its two-year birthday in January 2022. It was made with the shop's house-made almond syrup and garnished with whipped cream and sprinkles. So yum!
Other options include teas, hot chocolate, Italian sodas with handcrafted syrups, and more. This drink is the Violet Fizz, featuring homemade blueberry syrup and topped with a splash of local milk, both beautiful and delicious!
