The Wahlbergs are one of America’s most iconic celebrity families. You may be more familiar with a certain Wahlberg depending on your interests. If you’re a movie buff, for example, you’d be most familiar with Mark, perhaps best known for his role in the successful Transformers: Age of Extinction movie. Music lovers could be more familiar with Donnie, a member of the infamous New Kids on the Block boy band, although, Mark, too, was heavily involved in the music industry at times as well. And of course, Donnie has also been part of the popular Blue Bloods TV show. And then, there are the foodies, who would gravitate towards Paul, creator of Wahlburgers, the celebrity-owned restaurant in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina that’s one of over 90 locations in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand.
Wahlburgers is well-known and loved as one of the best places for a great burger – juicy, flavorful, and on a delicious buttery bun. You'll find it on Celebrity Circle at Broadway at the Beach, the largest entertainment venue of its kind in the state.
Chef Paul Wahlberg has been working in professional kitchens since he graduated from high school, first at two hotels in downtown Boston, then as the executive chef at Bridgeman’s in Hull. He started Wahlburgers in 2011 with Donnie and Mark.
When asked during an interview if he would ever consider leaving Boston, he said he would not but that Myrtle Beach is "wicked cool." (But he loves snow, which we all know as a rule does not happen in most of our beloved South Carolina.)
The Wahlburgers menu features eight different burgers, including The Our Burger (a basic burger), The Double Decker (pictured here) ...
... The BBQ Bacon Burger (shown here), the Chorizo Jam Burger, the O.F.D., The Fiesta, The Supermelt, and The Impossible Burger (plant-based!). There are also other options for those who may want something besides a burger, such as chili and mac 'n cheese with bacon in the Mom's Favorites section of the menu and additional types of sandwiches.
Side options range from fries to onion rings to tots, salad, and slaw.
All around the inside of the restaurant, you'll see Wahlberg family memorabilia.
Gracing the walls are posters from infamous movies and TV shows they've starred in.
And you know you're gonna want some Wahl gear while you're here, too.
