Riddle us this. What do you get when you bring two farmers and a chef together? You may be thinking: An absolutely amazing meal. And you would be correct. However, in this case, today, you also get a restaurant with a constantly changing menu that utilizes the freshest, locally sourced ingredients. And that’s the bare-bones story of how Fork and Plough Restaurant was born, where you can get the best weekend brunch in South Carolina.
Meet Chef Shawn Kelly, the one responsible for the creative dishes you’ll find at Fork and Plough. He’s passionate about the opportunity to create unique and memorable dishes using the finest local ingredients.
The restaurant is located at 1629 East North Street in the heart of the historic Overbrook District of downtown Greenville, the coolest small town in South Carolina.
With an ever-changing menu, you never know unless you check the Fork and Plough website beforehand what goodness you will have the opportunity to sample on any given day. There are options, of course, ranging from basics like various biscuit choices …
… or a cinnamon roll …
… to more adventurous choices such as these crawfish and grits…
… or chicken vindaloo brunch-style with basmati rice and a fried egg.
Spiced coconut French toast looks and sounds delicious!
Or how about a Parisian omelet? Yum!
This smoked meatloaf sandwich also looks so tasty.
Rye pancakes with rose and vanilla-infused yogurt with pomegranate and pumpkin seeds are certainly a different and beautiful dish.
There’s no doubt you could eat here every single day and not get bored, a Foodie’s Heaven! Visit the Fork and Plough Facebook page to see many more examples of what has been previously served and for more information such as operating hours.
