This spot in Rhode Island may have "wurst" in its name, but when it comes to sausage sandwiches, this restaurant just may have the best in the state. The Wurst Kitchen creates such a mouthwatering variety of sandwiches that it's hard to choose a favorite. Let's see why people line up for these amazing creations.
The Wurst Kitchen is located in Providence. It is a small open kitchen found inside Chez Pascal restaurant.
All of the sausages and hot dogs are made in house and are full of the most amazing flavor. But when the chefs use them in a sandwich, the results are out of this world.
The dining area in the Wurst Kitchen is small and can only seat a handful of people. For dinner, you will have to make a reservation, but for lunch, getting a seat depends on luck.
But if you can't get a spot inside, there is a walk up window and you can take your sausage sandwich to go. In warm weather, there is limited outdoor seating available too.
The sausage sandwiches come in some yummy combinations like jagerwurst topped with bacon braised Napa cabbage and grainy mustard.
For a spicy bite, try the hot link topped with chili, cheese curd, and chimichurri.
Another favorite is the green chorizo with chili, pimento spread, and pickled jalapeño. No matter what you order, your taste buds are sure to be happily surprised by the great flavor combinations.
