There are so many awesome bars to enjoy a drink at in Rhode Island, and they all have their own sense of style and menu to cater to a specific type of clientele. While you may be reticent to stray from your favorite watering hole, we like to think that variety is the spice of life. This cocktail spot in Providence offers variety, spice, and an ambiance unlike any other, and that's why we think it's more than worth your time.
Needle and Thread is modeled after an old school speakeasy, and the name is a nod to the history of the building, which used to be a haberdashery.
The interior is so inviting to look upon and there are lots of different seating options making this the ideal spot for an intimate date or a night out with friends.
There are comfy chairs and cozy booths to sit back in for a long conversation.
Also available is a gorgeous bar if you're in the mood for a solo evening out.
The menu is themed after the history of the building, with sections for Old School Threads (classic cocktails with a twist,) Seasonal threads (drinks that change with the seasons,) and Classic Threads (the drinks you might think of first when going to an old world speakeasy.)
Many of the drinks feature classic ingredients like absinthe and have fun names like Arsenic and Old Lace and Corpse Reviver #2.
Of course you can always get a standby like an Old Fashioned as well. With a wide selection of spirits and mixers, as well as knowledgable bartenders, Needle and Thread has got your back when it comes to a tasty cocktail!
If you find yourself hungry while out, Needle and Thread also offers a small but scrumptious menu that will be hard to resist. We think the braised short rib looks particularly delectable.
Who are you most excited to bring to this hip spot, and what can't you wait to try on the menu? Don't forget to follow Needle and Thread's Facebook page and check out their website to get updates on food and drink specials, as well as neat events!
