We all have our favorite spots in Rhode Island for ice cream, some that are such long-standing favorites that we will stand in line all night long for a sweet taste of what they serve up. But there's always room for something new in town and this time it comes in the unique form of an ice cream trailer. Serving up homemade flavors out of a trailer, this welcome addition to Little Rhody is the first of its kind.
This trailer that once hauled horses, now serves ice cream to hungry customers. Smithfield's Blackbird Farm opened the trailer at the end of June as the newest addition to their farm operation.
The inside of the trailer has been completely renovated to become the newest kind of ice cream stop in the state.
Choose from 14 incredible homemade flavors. The ice cream trailer always has the traditional vanilla, chocolate, and coffee but rotates the other choice to include yummy selections such as blueberry cheesecake or maple walnut.
Order your scoops on a plain cone or one adorned with chocolate and sprinkles.
Add a couple of toppings or make it a full fledged sundae. Go ahead and spoil yourself, summer is coming to an end.
Craving a good old-fashioned float? Moo Moo's has those too, made with authentic Yacht Club Sodas.
So if you're ready for a party in your mouth, this ice cream will do the trick. There's nothing quite like the delicious taste of homemade ice cream on a hot day.
Visit this unique ice cream trailer at the corner of Limerock Road and Douglas Pike and indulge yourself with the sweet taste of summer right on the farm.
Blackbird Farm and Moo Moo's Ice Cream Trailer can be found at 660 Douglas Pike, Smithfield, RI 02917. For more information visit their website.
