What do you do when you've got a relentless craving for steak, but the typical 16-ouncer just won't make that hunger go away? Well, we're quite fortunate to live in a city bursting with scrumptious steakhouses, including one that serves a massive steak that's sure to fix any craving (at least for awhile, right?). The question is will you share this mega-steak with a fellow steak lover? Or, do you think you can polish it off yourself? Find out at this Pittsburgh restaurant.
Make sure you're really, really hungry when you head to Meat & Potatoes, especially if you plan to order the popular eatery's massive...
steak. Just how big is it? Well, it's a whopping 45-ounce ribeye, served with bone marrow gratin.
Of course, the popular 45-ounce ribeye is meant for sharing. Order it just how you like it - rare, medium, well done, or somewhere in between.
And, if you are sharing it, consider pairing that juicy steak with a helping of rosemary potatoes, truffle fries, or mashed potatoes. Other sides include roasted cauliflower, collard greens, and mushroom ragu.
Or, perhaps the 45-ounce ribeye is just a bit too big for your appetite. Choose from such scrumptious entrees as the prime strip loin, the smoked short rib, or the pot roast.
If you prefer a sandwich, sink your teeth into the plain Jane burger, the pub burger, or the hot chicken.
How much of the 45-ounce ribeye do you think you can eat at Meat & Potatoes? Find out Sunday through Thursday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 5 p.m. to midnight. Or, visit for brunch Saturday and Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Meat & Potatoes is located at 649 Penn Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
