1. Sally’s Cider Press, Harmony

Bring your own apples to Sally’s Cider Press. Or, watch as locally grown apples are pressed into delicious apple cider. The cozy cider mill sells freshly-pressed apple cider, apple butter, pumpkins, and an assortment of goodies. Visit Sally’s Cider Press, beginning September 13, on Thursdays from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

2. Soergel Orchards, Wexford

Sink your teeth into scrumptious Amish donuts then wash them down with freshly-pressed apple cider at Soergel Orchards. But, even better than apple cider in the fall? Soergel Orchards presses apple cider all year around. Add even more magic to your autumn with a visit to the orchards during its fall festival from September 22 to October 28, 2018. Stop by Soergel Orchards Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. or Saturday and Sunday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

3. Trax Farms, Finleyville

Join generations of Pittsburghers who have made Trax Farms a part of their autumns since 1964. The sprawling farm, which hosts an annual fall festival, also features an apple cider press. Sip on samples of fresh apple cider then decide which flavors – traditional or apple cranberry, for example – to take home. Worried you’ll miss that apple cider when winter rolls around? Just put a few extra gallons into the freezer to save for winter. Visit Trax Farms Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

4. Shenot Farm, Wexford

Hey, chocolate lovers! Love apple cider and chocolate? Then, Shenot Farm belongs on your autumn to do list. Of course, you’ll want to stock up on the farm’s freshly-pressed cider. Then, stop by the Fudge Room, where you’ll discover homemade fudge in 50 fabulous flavors. Get your fill of apple cider and fudge at Shenot Farm, open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

5. Godfrey Run Farm, Lake City

Just how far would you travel for a freshly-pressed apple cider slushie? Godfrey Run Farm, just two hours from Pittsburgh, presses its own apple cider. And, at its farm market, you can stock up on freshly-pressed apple cider, fresh apples, and other goodies, like the apple cider slushie. Stop by the market at Godfrey Run Farm daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

6. Barbers Orchard, Franklin

Barbers Orchard presses its own apple cider all autumn long. Of course, apple cider’s just the tip of the proverbial iceberg. Barbers Orchard welcomes visitors Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
