Pittsburgh's certainly known for its unique and innovative eateries. That includes bars, too. If you've ever been to a bar at peak hours, you know just how crazy things can get. Now, instead of waiting for your beer, wine, or cider, simply head straight to the self-serve bar yourself to fill up your glass. The Vault Taproom, a unique bar in Pittsburgh, is the first of its kind in the city to offer a self-serve selection of craft beers, cider, and wine.
Tucked along Carson Street in the South Side, The Vault Taproom debuted the city's first self-serve craft beer, cider, and wine bar during the summer of 2019.
You can, of course, pair your favorite drinks with a delicious meal at this self-described upscale restaurant and bar with small plate offerings.
The self-serve bar's menu rotates, so you'll likely discover something different every time you visit.
Fill your glass with such favorites as Namaste White, American Beauty Pale Ale, and Lakeshore Fog.
The Vault Taproom also serves a generous selection of cocktails — from vintage to modern drinks.
Bring your appetite with you, too, because you'll definitely want to try one of the delicious "southern-fusion" dishes.
Up for sharing a starter with your table? Order such unique dishes as hot honey garlic calamari, roasted winter squash hummus, or wings.
(Go for the chicken or the cauliflower wings.)
The menu also features a variety of tacos, mac and cheese dishes, and burgers. If you're craving sweets, dig into the maple creme brulee or the pound cake and berries.
Pour your favorite beers at The Vault Taproom, open Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 12 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m.
