Virtual hands up if you’re one of the many Pennsylvanians with a sweet tooth. We’re quite fortunate to live in an area where satisfying that sweet tooth is often as easy as stopping by our favorite candy or ice cream shop or bakery. If you’re up for a bit of an adventure, you and your sweet tooth can embark on the brand new Sweet Tooth Trail through Butler County.
All you need is a sweet trail passport, a sense of adventure, and your sweet tooth when you embark on the Sweet Tooth Trail through Butler County.
Pick up your very own Sweet Tooth Trail passport at the Butler County Tourism & Convention Bureau or at one of the brochure racks throughout the county.
That passport is your ticket to a prize – if you fill it up. During each visit, ask the staff to mark your passport. Even if you don’t fill up the entire passport, you’re in for a whole lot of good eating and that, in itself, is a win-win.
The Sweet Tooth Trail features 16 spots, including bakeries, donut shops, ice cream shops, and candy shops. If you’re a fan of classic chocolate chip cookies, make your way to Mainstreet Bake Shop and Nothing Bundt Cakes, both of which make a mean chocolate chip cookie and a ton of other goodies.
Sink your teeth into a scrumptious soft pretzel at The Two Fraus Bakery, and grab a treat at P&B Sweets and Eats and Tin Man Sweets Bake Shop.
Can you feel your mouth starting to water already? That’s just the beginning of the deliciousness that awaits on the sweetest trail in Butler County. Feel as though you’ve stepped into candy heaven at Baldinger’s Candy, Peter’s Chocolate Shoppe, Speckled Hen Chocolate Company, and Wendereusz’s Candy & More.
Sample some of the area’s tastiest donuts at Peace Love & Little Donuts and Valencia Donut Company, the latter of which allows you to customize your donuts.
A sweet tooth trail certainly wouldn’t be complete without ice cream. Dig into an ice cream treat at the area’s most unique ice cream shop. The Snowman looks just like his name, a giant snowman.
Cranberry Dairy Queen, IceBox Creamery, NatuRoll Creamery, and The Meadows Original Frozen Custard round out the scrumptious stops on the sweet tooth trail.
