Traveling the world gives us a unique glimpse into other cultures and allows us experiences we probably wouldn't have otherwise. However, we don't always have the time or the funds to hop on an international flight to explore. The next best thing is a trip to this Pennsylvania restaurant for international cuisine.
Journey to all corners of the globe when you sit down for a meal at Chef Dato's Table in Latrobe, a family-owned restaurant that's been called a "gem" by guests.
Although it's open and spacious, guests praise the restaurant for having a quiet, relaxed vibe with friendly service and delicious food.
Chef Dato's features a variety of international dishes and hosts International Thursdays. Each Thursday's menu highlights a different country, like India.
Even if you can't make it on Thursday, you'll find an eclectic mix of appetizers and entrees. Start off with German potato pancakes, Asian pot stickers, or fried pickles.
Chef Dato's Table also scoops up made from scratch soups each day. Choose from the French onion or the soup of the day.
An entree salad - the Greek gyro, the southwest fajita, or the Mediterranean ahi tuna - is oh-so-refreshing on a warm day.
If you're craving something heartier, try the German pork schnitzel, the broiled cod, or the maple bourbon salmon.
You'll find some American favorites, too, including the classic New York strip.
Whatever you do, make sure you order dessert. Guests rave about the decadent desserts - like the creme brulee and the homemade apple dumpling.
View days, hours, and a menu on the Chef Dato's Table website. Or, stop by its Facebook page.
