We all know - and suffer through - that horrible circular conversation: Where do you want to go to eat? Well, now things have gotten even harder. A plethora of new restaurants have debuted this year, including a huge food hall in Pittsburgh that promises an upscale dining experience. So, next time you're in the middle of that circular conversation, suggest this two-story food hall, with indoor and outdoor dining, in the Strip District.
Indulge in a delicious meal and lively conversation at the massive, two-story, 12,000-foot Pennsylvania Market, a food hall that first opened in the fall of 2018.
The upscale food hall boasts 400 seats, including a charming balcony and courtyard for those warm Pittsburgh days, and an assortment of "food artisans and craft cocktails" from area businesses.
Explore the spacious food hall to decide what to order. In the mood for a slice of Roman pizza? Stop by Romulus Pizza al Taglio, where you can order pizza by the slice.
Or, perhaps you prefer a fresh panini, topped with prosciutto, mozzarella, arugula, and sun-dried tomatoes?
Then, again, maybe you're just craving some of the Burgh's most popular tacos from Edgar Tacos.
Don't forget to check out the other food hall vendors, including East End Brewery, The Olive Tap, and Bistro 108.
Of course, you'll want to head up to the second floor, where you'll discover the Wine Library, a bar that serves more than 100 different wines and features descriptions of the wines, and from where they originate to help you choose your drink.
Treat yourself to a unique dining experience at The Pennsylvania Market, open Tuesday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m., and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Pennsylvania Market is located at 108 19th St., Pittsburgh, PA 15222.
