As Homer Simpson once said, "Donuts. Is there anything they can't do?"

Well, donuts might not be able to do drive your children to school or do your taxes, but they sure can make your day better while you go about these mundane tasks. We scoured the state of Pennsylvania to track down all of the most deliciously motivational, round treats... And here are the results of our search.

1. Federal Donuts, Philadelphia

Federal Donuts is famous not only for their delicious donuts, but also for their mouthwatering chicken and coffee. They consistently top lists as the best donut shop in the state.

2. Fragnelli's Bakery, Philadelphia

Fragnelli's Bakery has been open since 1947 and is a tradition in the Philadelphia area. The bakers here hand-pump all of their donuts, creating traditional favorites as well as the innovative donnoli, which is a donut shell filled with cannoli creme. Yum!

3. Haegele's Bakery, Philadelphia

The above photograph was taken of Helen, one of the original founders of the bakery and August Haegele's wife. A traditional German bakery, it produces authentic baked goods that can be hard to find elsewhere. Every Mardi Gras, people line up outside for their delicious Fastnachts.

4. Beiler's Donuts and Salads, Philadelphia

Located inside the famous Reading Terminal Market, Beilers is famous for their fresh donuts, salad, and pickles. They offer fresh yeast donuts as well as other varieties.

5. Clark's Donuts Plus, Cranberry

Clark's is the most highly rated Pennsylvania donut shop on Urban Spoon, and with good reason! They bake fresh donuts daily, including the intriguing peanut butter and jelly donut.

6. Rising Creek Bakery and Cafe, Mt. Morris

The authentic Rising Creek Bakery is located in peaceful surroundings in Mt. Morris. Also, they offer free coffee refills, which sounds even more idyllic than the tranquil river which runs past the bakery.

7. Peace, Love, and Little Donuts, Various Locations

This 60s'-themed donut shop has multiple locations in Western Pennsylvania, including two shops in Pittsburgh, one in Grove City, and one in Hartwood. They are also located in Ohio, Florida, and Oregon.

8. Freedom Farms Donut Shop, Butler

Freedom Farms has a massive selection list of donuts that will leave you begging for help as you decide which to try first. Their selection includes the Maple Bacon Donut, the Cherry Honey Mooner, and the Apple-Filled Donut with Cinnamon.

9. Yum Yum Bake Shops, Quakertown, Colmar, and Warminster

Having a party? Yum Yum's offers the Big Kahuna Donut, which can feed 10 people. Wow!

10. Scotty's Donuts, DuBois

If you like variety, then Scotty's is the place for you. They make over 35 different varieties of donuts. You won't be able to decide what to get!

11. Maple Donuts, York

Have a hankering for a sweet treat in the middle of the night? Luckily for you, Maple Donuts is open 24 hours. The family owned business has been open since 1946.

12. Suzy-Jo Donuts, Bridgeport, Limerick, and Blue Bell

Suzy-Jo's creates traditional donuts, as well as cake donuts, which are donuts made out of cake. The Devil's Food Cake donut makes our mouths water...

13. Curry Donuts, Various

Curry Donuts has over 24 locations in Pennsylvania, all with decadent donuts for order. The donuts are advertised as light and fluffy. Yum...

14. Mary Ann Donut Kitchen, Allentown

These mouthwatering, homemade donuts are available at Mary Ann's shop, or at the farmer's market down the street. Their creations are amazing, especially the unique pretzel donut.

15. Donut Connection of Exeter

Donut Connection first opened in 1995 as Mister Donut, and now encompasses 200 locations throughout the country. They are known for their fresh donuts and also for their invitation to allow schools to book field trips for children to see how the donuts are made.
