Old buildings never really die. Many, in fact, are reincarnated into something new while often still retaining much of their old charm. That’s just what you’ll find when you dine at the Millworks in Pennsylvania. The former mill has been transformed into a rustic restaurant, brewery, and rooftop biergarten that draws visitors with its unique setting, impeccable service, and impressive menu.

Whispers of its past as the Stokes Millworks can still be heard throughout the enchanting Millworks in Harrisburg, a bucket list-worthy destination that oozes charm with its “timber and brick feel.”
The Millworks restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating, which promises a memorable experience in any season. During the warmer months, request a seat in the courtyard, the perfect setting for enjoying the fresh air.
Speaking of seasons, Millworks boasts a seasonal menu, using the freshest ingredients sourced from suppliers in Central Pennsylvania. The restaurant scores top marks from guests, who describe the food as “great,” “amazing,” and of “incredible quality.”
While the menu does change with the seasons, it features a ton of deliciousness – from appetizers to sandwiches, pizzas, and entrees.
If it feels like a pizza kind of day, you have half of a dozen types of pies from which to choose. White pizza, tomato and pesto, and smoked barbecue pulled pork are just a few of your choices.
The seasonal menu offers a select few sandwiches, but each, including the house cheeseburger and the crispy fried chicken, comes packed with flavor.
Entrees are available after 4 p.m., which gives you all day to work up a hearty appetite. Choices may include such classics as slow roasted meatloaf and PA Dutch smoked chicken pot pie.
The Millworks offers far more than a delicious bite to eat and a craft beer from the on-site brewery. As you’re eating, watch as artists create in their on-site art studios.
Before or after your meal, you can also visit the art gallery to admire the work on display. Or, grab a drink at the rooftop biergarten.
View days, hours, and make a reservation on the official website of The Millworks. Or, visit the restaurant’s Facebook page.
