Beer lovers certainly have it good in Pittsburgh. If you love beer, you’ll likely agree that it’s not too difficult to find your favorites or to discover new beers at the local breweries throughout the city. When you’ve got a few free hours, head over to East End Brewing Co. in Pittsburgh, where you can tour the brewery, grab a bite to eat, and buy some of your favorite beers to take home.
East End Brewing Co has been a popular destination for beer lovers and for Pittsburghers since it first opened in 2004.
If you’re fascinated by how your favorite beers are made, embark on one of the Grains-to-Glass tours, generally held on Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
The comprehensive tour will take you behind-the-scenes, where you’ll learn more about the history of the popular brewery. You'll also have the opportunity to sample four beers.
All tour-goers will receive a $15 credit. Use it to buy beer to go, or sit down for a drink at the bar after your tour.

After your tour, stop by the bar for a beer. The day’s tap list varies and may include such favorites as Farmhouse Peach, Steel Cut, and Mount Washington. If you want to sample a few beers, opt for the Three Beer Taster.
Your visit wouldn’t be complete without a stop at the store, where you can stock up on East End Brewing Co. goodies like t-shirts, gift cards, and growlers. Don’t forget to also grab your favorite beers to go.
East End Brewing Co. regularly hosts events, too, including Wednesday Night Trivia and Beer Belly Yoga.
Stop by East End Brewing Co., open Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m.
