1. Chameleon Restaurant and Bar
Open for over 20 years, this fusion restaurant rarely gets the press of other restaurant darlings, but it is delicious nonetheless. Featuring a blend of Asian and European cuisines, Chameleon Restaurant and Bar also is notable for its great patio. Chameleon Restaurant and Bar is located at 2000 NE 40th Avenue.
2. La Panza Cafe
There's a good chance you have passed this cafe and never even noticed it was there. Just off of SE Division, it is easy to miss this New Mexican restaurant. Remedy that now by stopping in for breakfast, lunch or dinner at 2425 SE 26th Avenue.
3. Bipartisan Cafe
Warm and toasty sandwiches, bagels and bagel sandwiches are on the menu at this Montavilla eatery. Stop by for some seasonal pies and coffee at 7901 SE Stark Street.
4. Behind the Museum Cafe
Behind the art museum lies this small cafe with big flavor. Serving Japanese tea, baked goods, and light meals, this cafe is charming and takes great care in its lovely food presentation. Visit the cafe at 1229 SW 10th Avenue.
5. Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant
Serving up amazing Moroccan cuisine from its Nob Hill location, Marrakesh has been in operation since 1989. To feast on tagines and lamb, this is the place to be. Dine on Wednesdays and Sundays for a belly dancing show as well. Marrakesh is located at 1201 NW 21st Avenue.
6. Otto's Sausage Kitchen
If you want a no-nonsense sausage sandwich, this is the place to go. Serving sausages, salads, and sandwiches, this Portland institution is one of the best, and while you are there, you can pick up some sausages for the freezer. Otto's is located at 4138 SE Woodstock Boulevard.
7. The Fishwife
This family-run restaurant has been in business for over 20 years and consistently serves up some of the best seafood in the city. This cozy neighborhood seafood spot is located at 5328 N Lombard Street.
8. Swiss Hibiscus
Featuring classic Swiss and European cuisine, Swiss Hibiscus is tucked away in the Alberta Arts District. Visit the delicious cafe for fondue and schnitzel at 4950 NE 14th Avenue.
9. Wilf's Restaurant and Bar
Located in the same building as Union Station, Wilf's is best known as a jazz bar, but the food is also pretty great too. Enjoy a classic cocktail with your dinner at 800 NW 6th Avenue at Union Station.

Spanish-style tapas are served here, and the wait is much shorter than at Toro Bravo. Designed to complement wines and cocktails from the region, these finger foods are worth the trip to 2940 NE Alberta Street.
