The Owl's Nest Diner is an unassuming restaurant in Oklahoma County that serves "food like your mother used to make." It's located in Nicoma Park and considered the "best-kept secret" in town. It was recently featured on Discover Oklahoma and the word is out about their tasty food, so hurry in and give it a try.
The Owl's Nest Diner is located at 10911 Northeast 23rd Street in Nicoma Park behind Westminster Pharmacy. It's only been open a few months, but word is spreading that the food is amazing, so be prepared for a wait during lunch hour.
The interior is decorated in retro decor with black and white checkered flooring, counter height barstools and vintage decor.
You'll also find cozy red vinyl booths and friendly hospitality. It's the kind of place where everyone knows your name and treats you like family.
The chicken fried steak is the star of the show at Owl's Nest. It's hand-breaded and fried to perfection. It's also a huge portion, so come hungry.
The mashed potatoes are homemade, not from a box...and they are so fresh and tasty! The green beans are made from a secret recipe that's unlike anything you've ever tasted before. (I hear people come just for the green beans.)
All entrees are served with freshly baked homemade rolls and they are heavenly.
And if you're looking for a lighter meal, they have healthy, fresh salads, too. Stop in and try their delicious homemade food six days a week (closed on Sundays).
