Have you ever visited a restaurant and thought to yourself afterward, I wish I had visited this place before? Well, this was the case for me after visiting Cheever's Cafe in Oklahoma City last week. It's a great place for any occasion and the presentation of the food is equally as impressive as the taste. Pay them a visit the next time you're in the OKC metro area...you'll be thoroughly impressed.
Since 2000, Cheever's Cafe has been serving contemporary comfort food in Oklahoma City in a charming historic building.
The building is actually an old flower shop and features a casually elegant atmosphere. They are well-known for their delicious brunch, chicken fried steak, and desserts.
I wouldn't do this place justice if I didn't show you several of their menu items. Take a look at this mouthwatering seared NY Strip with a brown butter and sage crust, served with loaded Kabocha squash.
Or this BBQ chicken sandwich with house braised pork belly and jalapeño slaw.
Or this...Sweet Potato Stuffed Cornish Hen with cumin roasted eggplant and garlic buttered peas.?
Doesn't this tenderloin quesadilla topped with sweet salsa and served with buttery vegetable rice look divine?
During the warmer months, enjoy the fresh air while dining outdoors on in their patio area.
But the real magic happens when you eat one of their desserts. The Tres Leches Coffee Cake with blueberry whipped cream, bacon, and fruit will send your taste buds in a frenzy.
One of the best desserts in Oklahoma - the roasted pecan ice cream ball is a giant ball of traditional vanilla ice cream coated with brown sugar pecans and chocolate. It sits in a pool of caramel/chocolate sauce that's the most delectable dipping sauce ever!
