If you've been to the town of Pawhuska lately, then you know all the fabulous new stores and businesses that have been opening up, one of which is Charlie's Sweet Shop. This store is one of The Pioneer Woman's newest endeavors featuring quality ice cream, homemade waffle cones, signature sundaes, and retro candy.
The Pioneer Woman has done it again — a charming business that draws visitors in from all over the state. Charlie's Sweet Shop is located just down the street from her infamous Mercantile Store & Restaurant, so after visiting head on over to this sweet shop for dessert.
The store is named after Charlie, the beloved Bassett Hound of The Pioneer Woman's family that passed away. He was a ranch dog that was the ultimate sweetheart.
Upon entering the shop, you'll be greeted with beautiful white and black decor, plenty of seating, and a big candy table as you make your way back to the shop to order from the counter.
Choose which delicious treat you would like to indulge in, place your order, then take a seat and enjoy your scrumptious sweets.
One of my favorites is the creamy ice cream on one of their homemade waffle cones.
Or you can't go wrong with one of the Bootleg Banana Split creations that are overflowing with goodies.
The candy table is filled with retro candy (and new ones) that are just as fun to browse as it is to eat — well, not quite.
You can even buy Charlie and his book to take home! Who could pass up a face like this?
Charlie's Sweet Shop is open Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The next time you're in Pawhuska, be sure to stop in and pay Charlie a visit.
