There are just some things that seem like they belong in Oklahoma and Cattlemen's Steakhouse is one of those. This historic restaurant boasts an authentic, rustic, and little bit of a "Wild West" attitude - all surrounded by some of the best food you have ever tasted. Come see why this restaurant has been serving folks for more than 100 years.
Cattlemen's Steakhouse is still located in The Oklahoma City Stockyards at 1309 South Agnew Avenue. They are open Sunday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
One unique thing about Cattlemen's is they serve breakfast which is unusual for a steakhouse. As you can see in the photo, this is no ordinary breakfast.
The atmosphere inside is exactly what you would expect from an Oklahoma steakhouse that has been around for over 100 years - elegant but not standoffish and formal but fun at the same time. Don't be surprised if you see a celebrity or two...Charles Barkley showed his approval.
The steaks here are the star of the show. Of course, you can have yours cooked any way you prefer.
The bacon-wrapped filet is quite amazing. They are aged overnight and always satisfy.
Another great menu item is their succulent prime rib. This extra-large portion of slow-roasted prime rib served with au jus and amazing side dishes is so popular we suggest you call ahead because they have been known to run out.
Before your meal is over you simply must try the homemade lemon meringue pie that has become legendary. Once you have a slice of this pie you are guaranteed to order it every time you eat here.
