Southeast Oklahoma has grown in popularity over the years due to Bigfoot. Naturally, there are many urban legends in Oklahoma about this mysterious creature. Whether you’re a believer or a skeptic of this creature, a fun place to visit in Idabel is Gasquatch – a Bigfoot-themed travel station with a restaurant, car museum, mini-mart, gift shop, and more. Let’s explore this Oklahoma Bigfoot Museum and discover all that it has to offer.
Gasquatch is a play on words since Bigfoot is also known as Sasquatch (for those new to the world of Bigfoot). They opened in late 2020 in the town of Idabel just off Highway US-259. Just look for the 30-foot-tall Bigfoot sign outside - the largest of its kind in the world.
This place has it all. It's a gas station, mini-mart, restaurant, gift shop, and car museum all wrapped into one. They are open 24 hours, 7 days a week, so you'll never miss out on seeing Bigfoot.
The restaurant is called Cave Cafe and is nicely sized at the back of the store. There are plenty of tables for everyone, so you most likely will never have a wait.
It overlooks Phil's Elite Muscle Car Museum, so car enthusiasts get ready to see some amazing vintage cars on the showroom floor.
They serve a menu with many Bigfoot-themed food items, like Squatch Fingers and Cave Meals that include a delicious chicken fried steak.
Even the drinks are cleverly named. Coffee drinkers, be sure and get some Squatch 'n Brew from one of their high-tech coffee machines.
Pick up some fun Bigfoot-themed merchandise and souvenirs. Look how adorable this stuffed animal is...I couldn't leave without one.
