Columbus has no shortage of great restaurants, but every year we look forward to seeing which ones are deemed best by various news sources and critics. Columbus Underground just released their Top 10 Best of Columbus Restaurant lists, and Wolf Ridge's Brewing came in at number one.
Wolf's Ridge Brewery opened in 2013, and it's been gaining a lot of attention ever since. It's located at 215 N. 4th Street in Columbus.
With its exposed brick walls and tin ceiling, the dining room is a beautiful blend of historic detail, warm wood and industrial fixtures.
Executive Chef Seth Lassak has compiled a seasonal menu that's fresh and innovative.
The beef and carrots is comfort food with a fine dining twist: Ancho coffee rubbed tenderloin, baby carrots, and pearl onions on curried carrot purée.
If you love seafood, you must try the Seafood Boil with mussels, shrimp, andouille sausage, pearl onions, potatoes, and corn.
Your visit isn't complete without dessert. One favorite is the Sweet Potato Doughnut, served with brandy-nutmeg ice cream, pecans, marshmallow, and caramel pearls.
Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. It's the perfect way to kick off your weekend.
Visit the Tap Room, where you'll find an extensive list of beers on tap. The knowledgeable staff can help you choose the right brew for you, and you can order a flight of three or five to try.
The Tap Room offers a more casual menu, but this is definitely upscale pub food. This is the Duck Melt with melted cheddar and pickled red onion.
Take a brewery tour or beer class to get a backstage view of the brewery.
Visit Wolf's Ridge Brewery every Sunday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. for Sunday Sessions — free live music.
The restaurant and tap room are closed on Monday, but open Tuesday through Saturday.
