Let's just take a moment to appreciate the majesty of pierogies. Today, we're going to take a look at a brand new restaurant that serves up a delicious variety of pierogies in Parma. Sure, they serve other goodies, including sausage and fries, but one can't deny that 'rogies are the star of the show. Hope you're hungry, because this delicious dining destination is about to tempt your taste buds.
Editor's Note: Sadly, this cool dining concept has closed its doors. Still looking for a unique restaurant that's famous for a single menu item? Try Happy Dog, a neighborhood favorite where you can build your own hot dog combinations.
In October 2020, a brand new dining concept opened in Parma, Ohio.
Welcome to Dick & Alice Sausage and Pierogi Haus! This charming local restaurant hasn't been operating for too long, but it's causing a big ruckus. As soon as you dig into one of their entrees, you'll understand what all the fuss is about!
The restaurant opened in collaboration with RollHouse Entertainment, which it shares a building and parking lot with.
If you've never been, RollHouse Parma is a funky little bowling alley with budget-friendly prices. Their Friday and Saturday cosmic bowling is always a hit with black lights and neon signs, but daytime bowling is every bit as fun.
Their menu is famous for featuring delicious hand-picked sausages and pierogies from Perla Pierogies on State Road.
Perla Pierogies is a coveted local business with award-winning pierogies. They're particularly famous for offering vegan pierogies, which you can also enjoy at Dick & Alice.
However, they also have some hidden Cleveland history in their ambiance... do you recognize those chairs?
The chairs come from The Silver Grille in the Higbee Building! When you dine here, you're continuing a Cleveland tradition just by soaking in the surroundings.
Whether you're dining in or carrying out, their menu offers the perfect opportunity to indulge in a traditional ethnic meal.
Opt for traditional cheddar and potato pierogies, or get indulgent with specialty options like Moon Over Parma, which is beer-braised and sprinkled with Hot Cheeto dust. You can snag carryout on GrubHub or Uber Eats.
Of course, you can also get creative with a Polish Boy-style meal.
The first thing you'll notice on their menu is that you have the option to order your sausage Dick-style (which includes marinara, onions, and mozzarella) or Alice-style (with sautéed onions and cheese sauce). Of course, you can also enjoy your meal without any added toppings, or you can select from a slew of specialty sausages. The buffalo chicken sausage, for example, comes with feta, hot sauce, parsley, and onions... and that's only one of several options!
And don't even stress, vegans... there are menu options for you, too!
Vegan pierogies are potato-based and infused with onion flavor, and they're made without any dairy products. You can also get a Beyond Sausage to round out your meal!
This unsuspecting restaurant hiding inside RollHouse Parma has quickly become a Parma favorite.
