In business since the 1950s, the vintage diner is known for its classic fare, which includes mouthwatering burgers and all-day breakfast. But it’s not just the grub that makes the eatery so great. There’s also the authentically retro digs, which are sure to transport you right back to your childhood.
When you want to get a taste of the good old days, just head to Chillicothe, which is where you’ll find Carl’s Townhouse.
The iconic blue-and-white building that houses Carl’s is part of what makes it so special. Famous all on its own, the building was at the New York World’s Fair in 1939, after which it was moved to Chillicothe.
In 2000, after being saved from demolition, the building was moved to its present location. Despite the move and several ownership changes, one thing about Carl’s has remained the same – it doles out some delicious grub.

Why We Love It: It's taken several trips for me to figure out my perfect "weekender bag that's TSA approved," but I've found my perfect carry on with the TOBIQ Colorado 30L.
