The reviews continually mention one important thing: don't try to get to Rusty's Saloon using your GPS. It's not going to work. The GPS, they say, will just lead you to a dirt road - so maybe it's time to learn old-school navigation because you're going to want to hang out at this old-style saloon located near St. Anthony we found! Rusty's Saloon in North Dakota is the perfect place to have dinner on your own or with friends and/or family; it's quaint and out of the way (it doesn't have its own official website), but it's well worth the journey it might take to get out there.
Rusty's Saloon (and Grill) is the perfect blend of modern American bar food, steakhouse cuts, and old-school barbecue.
Even the exterior of the place seems to exude an authority about it; it seems to say that this place knows its locals and knows its barbecue - and honestly, we're inclined to agree.
The inside has the atmosphere of an old western saloon combined with a steakhouse; it certainly has that signature North Dakotan feel to it.
Rusty's has been around long enough to have established itself as a local favorite; plenty of folks from St. Anthony will tell you it's where they like to go for its food, brews, and more.
Like we mentioned a moment ago, it's really great for families, parties, or just dining out by yourself.
Bite into a juicy burger, get a delectable grilled ribeye, or even try out their awesome smoked prime rib.
On top of the smorgasbord of delicious smoked meats, you can also get some of the tastiest German food here, too.
"German Night" is a common event held at Rusty's where patrons can indulge in excellent traditional German fare like creamed chicken and cheese buttons. Yum. Count us in! See the restaurant's Facebook page for the most up-to-date event schedules, specials and more.
Of course, there's also the full bar and the array of drink choices offered up at the saloon.
Even if you're not hungry - if you're just looking to unwind after work - Rusty's Saloon and Grill is a fabulous place to do it at.
It's all the vibe of the wild west here in beautiful North Dakota.
Rusty's is a small, locally-owned joint, and it doesn't have an official website - though it does have its aforementioned Facebook page for those who are interested in more information (and more photos of their delightful dishes!).
