What's your favorite restaurant? For me, this question is nearly impossible to answer; it always depends on my mood, really, and sometimes my cravings can even surprise me. I have favorite restaurants from all kinds of places; I have a favorite in every category. Should I be searching for, say, a restaurant with incredible waterfront views and even better food, I head to Bismarck. Why? Enter The Pier Bar & Grill, an incredible waterfront restaurant in North Dakota that's sure to become your new favorite place, thanks to the ambiance and views, alone. Of all the best places to eat in North Dakota, this one's at least got the most delicious views - and the most delicious food!
Welcome to The Pier Bar & Grill, a place where the views are as delicious as the menu!
As the only restaurant located right on the Southport Bay Marina, this incredible nosh spot makes for an amazing afternoon out - on AND off the water.
The menu is diverse and delish, offering classics like pizza and beer alongside more formal entrees.
There's nothing you can order that isn't fantastic; this is one of those rare places whose bark is, indeed, as bad as their bite... or in this case, the many bites we'll be taking of that pizza.
The marina is gorgeous and offers awesome views to eat by all year round.
Even in the winter, it's fun to watch the folks on the marina milling about and doing what they do. This restaurant is a people-watcher's paradise.
One of the dishes I'm positively obsessed with is the prime rib sandwich (pictured below) and the oh-so-perfectly-crispy fries.
Discover new flavor combos you never would have otherwise put together... and do it with an amazing view!
Outdoor dining is available in the warmer months, and every window in the place has a nice, warm view on the days when it's too chilly to eat outdoors.
If you're planning on boating, I have even more great news: The Pier offers fueling services for your boat, so you can eat, gas up, and go.
The only question that remains is: WHAT will you eat?
I suppose that's up to you. I warn you, though: you'll never get enough (of the views OR the food).
