Eating out tends to be the same every time. Sitting at a table, ordering food, eating food, and going on your way. But not all restaurants are that way, and North Dakota has some pretty unusual ones that break the mold. These quirky, fun, and downright cool places make dining interesting, and they're right here in the Peace Garden State. Take a look for yourself:
1. Wurst Bier Hall - Fargo
Get a taste of German food with a twist at the Wurst Bier Hall in North Dakota's biggest city. This place looks interesting outside and in, but what will really catch your attention is their delicious food. From the wursts to the bavarian pretzels, they have so many options of traditional German foods with unique additions that taste totally awesome.

2. Space Aliens - Bismarck
Take a trip to outer space at the Space Aliens Grill & Bar and you're in for a blast. They have award-winning BBQ, many other tasty options, and a lot of fun to be had. There is an arcade and an entire space-themed atmosphere to enjoy it all in. It's almost literally out of this world!
Space Aliens has two locations, the first one was founded in Bismarck at 1304 E Century Ave., Bismarck, ND 58503. The second location is at 1840 45th St. SW, Fargo, ND 58103.
3. Pitchfork Steak Fondue - Medora
It doesn't get much more unique and unusual than the Pitchfork Steak Fondue in Medora. The name is very literal, as this place serves up steaks actually skewered on real pitchforks and then cooked fondue-style. They're served up cafeteria style with a variety of yummy sides to make the perfect steak dinner. All of this is while sitting outdoors and gazing out on the beautiful badlands view. Slightly weird? Perhaps, but absolutely amazing!
Pitchfork Steak Fondue is only open seasonally and is located on the Tjaden Terrace, Chateau Rd., Medora, ND 58645.
4. The Starving Rooster - Minot
Stop by what used to be a tractor factory in Minot for an incredible meal. The Starving Rooster is located in a historic building with a very fitting industrial theme. Location aside, this place serves up the most scrumptious pizza, soups, and sandwiches. No matter what you're in the mood for, you'll love the food here.

5. Rhombus Guys - Grand Forks, Fargo
In the mood for some of the best pizza in North Dakota with a fantastic view? Rhombus Guys is unbeatable with that combination. Lounge on their rooftop terrace and enjoy slices of some of their many types of pizzas. All sorts of toppings - both classic and totally wild - are available on their signature pizzas. You'll be enjoying it all with an amazing view of downtown. What more could you ask for?

6. The Wurst Shop - Dickinson
If you're a sausage fan, then you must stop at this quirky little shop in Dickinson. The Wurst Shop is all things bratwurst. You can buy it in bulk and take it home to grill up yourself or get a freshly cooked brat right at the shop. All your favorite toppings and more are available to pile on top and you'll be ready for more after you've tried them. The Wurst Shop is actually the best, and there is no other place quite like it.

7. The HoDo - Fargo
Located in one of the most iconic historic buildings in Fargo, right in the heart of downtown, and in one of the most well-known and unique hotels in the entire state, The HoDo is a special place to go. The restaurant is on the first floor of the building and anyone can go to it, hotel guest or not, and enjoy some of the many perfectly prepared options on their menu. This place is perfect for a special occasion or any time you're feeling like eating top notch food in an interesting spot.
