The best kinds of roadside diners are the ones that remind us of our youth. Any time we can go back to the days when the family would pile into the car together and ride up the road to the nearby spot that had the best home cookin' in town... well, that's a win. Jerry's Snack Bar, serving the tiny community of Swan Creek (near Jonesville), is a win.
Jerry's opened in 1958 and was named after the daughter of the owners.
It's located on picturesque Swan Creek Road, between Elkin and Highway 421 - and not far from Interstate 77.
Aside from keeping the place looking fantastic, not much has changed about Jerry's over the decades... the food is still out-of-this-world good.
And it's still super affordable!
As you can see here, the place still gets pleasantly packed each day at lunch, but there's always room for one more. (Jerry's is open for breakfast, too.)
Jerry's signature pork chops will keep ya coming back for more. They'll load the plate up with crinkle cut fries and you'll leave with a full, satisfied tummy and a smile on your face.
It may be difficult to decide between the signature menu items and the daily specials, but we're confident you'll work it out.
The atmosphere is friendly and wholesome, and the staff is too. Drop in for some home cookin' from days gone by.
Jerry's celebrates 60 years in business in 2018. Drop in and give your taste buds (and heart) a step back to the good ol' days.
