As one of the largest vineyards in Yadkin Valley, Dobson's Shelton Vineyards offers the total wine experience for vino novice to sommelier. The location in the Yadkin Valley American Viticultural Area provides a soil and climate comparable to some of the largest and best wine-growing regions in Europe. Of course you can enjoy the tasting room, lounge on the rocking chairs out front, or even explore through one of the largest vineyards on the East Coast but one thing is for sure, you're going to get hungry at some point.
Featuring a vineyard-side view, quaint covered patio and dining room that range from romantic-casual to upscale dining, and a fresh, curated menu full of various items...Harvest Grill at Shelton Vineyards is the perfect place to stop, sip, and grab a bite to eat.
The upscale, 'bistro style' menu features a wide array of 'upscale comfort food.' The new spring brunch/lunch menu includes the daily 'Fin to Fork' special featuring various locally-sourced shellfish or fish. You can also go a little heartier with crispy pork belly, a smoked salmon wrap, or keep it light with various salads.
For spring, the dinner menu includes 'small plates' like smoked salmon cakes and cilantro lime grilled flank steak. Entrees include the beloved Maryland style crab cakes, grilled rack of lamb, 14oz. CAB New York Strip, or shrimp vera cruz.
Of course, dinner or lunch at a vineyard isn't complete without a glass or bottle of wine. A personal favorite, if you love 'buttery' whites, their chardonnay is to die for. Want to try them all? If you opt-out of the tasting offered, try a 'flight' with your meal featuring wine and food pairings.
From exquisite vineyard views to a wide array of snacks to choose from that range from charcuterie to a 14oz. steak - not to mention amazing wine to wash it all down - Harvest Grill gives you the full 'vineyard' experience right in the heart of wine country.
How tranquil! As someone who has dined here more than once, I can tell you it's an amazing experience with great views, food, and wine!
