Spring and summer are the perfect time to take your meal outside, from dining on a gorgeous patio or packing a picnic at the park. One way to enjoy the weather with a side of elegance is eating at a rooftop restaurant. While there are quite a few rooftop restaurants throughout the state of North Carolina, Fahrenheit is a rooftop restaurant in Charlotte that takes the cake for both views and food. Keep reading to see exactly what we're talking about!
When Fahrenheit came on to the scene, it was one of the first rooftop restaurants that offered such an up close view of Uptown Charlotte. Other restaurants/bars offered the view from afar, but Fahrenheit put you right in the middle of the action.
This Charlotte rooftop space features linear fire pits, a social pool and seasonal herb garden. The view of the skyline with the roaring fire pit has been captured by novice and seasoned photographers alike. It's perhaps one of the most instagrammed and photographed places in the city.
Owned and curated by Chef Rocco Whalen, the menu features inventive, American cuisine as well as an extensive wine list and creative craft cocktails.
The seasonal herb garden brings a bit of green and lush to the otherwise towering steel views. The couches make a perfect place to sip a mimosa at Sunday brunch or cuddle up for a romantic night.
The menu is diverse and features a wide range of options. Appetizers and small plates include kimchi salmon tartare, chorizo stuffed dates, Charlotte "nachos," and warm buttered Maine lobster rolls.
Main courses include; slow braised American Wagyu short ribs, 21-day dry-aged bone-in strip steak, rack of lamb, and the savory Maine Lobster "Mac & Cheese." The menu also features salads and pizzas.
When I had the chance to dine here, I opted for the Wagyu Short Ribs, which features teriyaki lo mein, roasted wild mushrooms, baby bok choy, apple syrup, and toasted sesame seeds and found it to be absolutely delicious!
Sunday funday? You also can't beat the 'high altitude' brunch here starting at 11AM featuring pancakes and bloody Marys.
From grabbing a bite with a view to celebrating a special occasion with a large group, Fahrenheit should be on the must-do list for spring and summer. During weekends, reservations are recommended.
While the food is stellar, nothing beats the stunning views you'll get while dining here at Fahrenheit in Charlotte or even just dropping in to grab a cocktail. In my opinion, it's one of the best views of Charlotte in Charlotte!
There isn't much I love more than seeing city lights at night, and this view from the restaurant is just spectacular! I drove here from South Carolina with my children to meet my sister and niece for dinner. We all had a wonderful time hanging out and enjoying the firepits and the views after our meal.
