Utopia means something different for everyone. For some, living with copious amounts of money is all they need to be in utopia and live their dream life. For others, like cat lovers, a purr-fect world includes cats - and more cats. Cat lovers rejoice... there IS a purr-fect world - a catopia - that exists within the walls of the Daily Mews Cat Cafe and spending any amount of time here is a blissful adventure.
Welcome to catopia, found in Charlotte's Echo Hills not far from E Independence Boulevard.
Inside is a quaint little cafe decorated in full with cat-themed items.
Even the drinks take on a theme that makes purr-fect sense at this cat cafe.
Daily Mews is also a cat adoption facility. Looking to meet the newest member of your family? Daily Mews is a great place to meet and greet several adoptable kitties all in one place.
The way it works is you'll go online here to make a reservation for either 30 or 60 minutes. You can also make a working reservation if you want to bring your laptop and work while the kitties play all around you.
There's a full menu of drink options including coffee, iced coffee, cappuccino, latte, a variety of teas, hot chocolate, sodas, water, lemonade, and more.
Cat lovers can even book a birthday party at Daily Mews. We can't think of a better place to have a party than with a kindle of kittens! (Note, visitors to Daily Mews must be at least seven years old.)
Of course, other fun events take place at this catopia, like the occasional Paint and Purr class. Learn to paint cats... you'll have plenty of inspiration all around you.
Or, take a cats and yoga class. Kitties are the purr-fect yoga partners!
The next time you're going to be in the neighborhood, set some time aside to visit catopia — right here in North Carolina!
Daily Mews Cat Café is open six days a week. The hours are Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., Friday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (closed on Wednesday). Learn more and make a reservation on the official website.
