As the air is getting cooler and football season is ramping up, it's a great time to take advantage of one of the Queen City's fabulous restaurant patios to watch the big game. Whether you enjoy sipping wine from a rooftop with a skyline view or lounging around a fire pit on some comfy outdoor furniture, Charlotte has the patio for you and your friends to get together and share great drinks, great food, and great company. These are our favorite patios in the QC. Make sure you check them out while the weather's nice!

1. Ink N' Ivy

The patio at Ink N' Ivy is a favorite with the locals because it is nestled right in the middle of Uptown and has an amazing view of some of Charlotte's prettiest high rises. It is in close proximity to BB&T Stadium, which hosts the Charlotte Knights and makes it the perfect spot to stop by after a game. It's also not too far from the Bank of America Stadium where the Panthers play, so it makes a great place to watch the games on Sundays. Ink N' Ivy caters to fans by offering $4 beer specials on Sundays - it's the perfect place to cheer with the locals.

2. Sycamore Brewing

When the weather is nice, the patio at Sycamore Brewing will be packed - but for good reason! This brewery is a popular spot on Saturdays and Sundays, when you'll find customers enjoying a craft Sycamore brew and taking in the sunshine.

Sycamore often has live music, as well as regular food trucks on site to feed hungry customers. Sycamore Brewing is the perfect place to visit if you are looking to enjoy a few drinks outside with friends, listen to some great tunes, and maybe even meet new friends!

3. Selwyn Pub

Selwyn Pub is an age-old spot for watching any type of sporting event in Charlotte. The patio is large and there are many outdoor TVs that offer the perfect view of the game. Seating is a variety of cozy outdoor couches and situated around large tables and high top tables with bar stools nestled under umbrellas.

In the winter, Selwyn places plenty of heaters on their porch and keeps the outdoor business going. Selwyn Pub is an awesome place to go if you want to enjoy the crisp winter air in a comfortable neighborhood bar environment.

4. Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit is one of the Queen City's best rooftop patios Uptown. Located on the 21st floor, Fahrenheit offers breathtaking views of the city skyline and great food and drinks. The patio is the perfect place to take in the beauty of the city while enjoying a delicious meal with your significant other or friends. Cozy furniture and outdoor fire pits create a warm atmosphere. This is a great place to take out-of-towners if you want to really show them Charlotte. They will be stunned by the experience!

5. Brazwell's Premium Pub on Montford Drive

Brazwell's Premium Pub on Montford Drive is well-known for it's amazing patio. With a large deck that spans out from the back of the building, Brazwell's patio has both an indoor covered area with an outdoor bar, as well as an outdoor open area for anyone who wants to enjoy the sunshine. Brazwell's is a popular spot for brunch on the weekend and the patio is packed for the build-your-own Bloody Mary bar!

There are also many TV's situated around the patio to watch big games, as well as a large fire pit that is a popular gathering spot in the fall. Enjoy brunch on Brazwell's patio this weekend. We're sure you'll want to go back!

6. Angry Ale's

After you finish at Brazwell's, head over to Angry Ale's across the street! Angry Ale's is a popular spot to watch sports games because it has a huge patio with larger-than-life TVs, so it's a great spot to spend game days. Angry Ale's patio is partially covered and seating consists of picnic benches, round outdoor tables, and bar tables, so everyone can enjoy and have a great view of what's on TV! When the weather is nice, the patio will be packed. Angry Ale's is a great casual place to sit outside, enjoy the weather, and have a few beers with friends and family.

7. City Lights Rooftop

City Lights is another rooftop bar in Uptown and is another great spot for date night or dinner with friends. The patio has amazing skyline views, colorful lounge furniture, and beautiful plants and greenery that add to the beautiful atmosphere. City Lights is located on top of Le Méridien Hotel and claims to have the only 360 degree view of the Charlotte skyline.

City Lights is known for serving up delicious craft cocktails, and its signature "Sparkle and Pop" - which is a glass of champagne with a Popsicle turned upside in it - is a favorite with the locals. Get out to City Lights this weekend for some fresh air, stunning views, and an all-around amazing time!

8. RiRa's Irish Pub

RiRa's Irish Pub in Uptown has a beautiful patio and serves up traditional Irish fare and delicious beers. The outdoor space offers a view of some of Charlotte's most famous buildings and has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. RiRa's is a great place to pop into for lunch during the week or for drinks with friends after work. If you like Irish food and Irish charm, make sure to put this one on your list.

9. Vivace

Vivace is an amazing Italian restaurant located in Midtown at the Metropolitan. The patio is a great place for dinner or Sunday brunch, as it overlooks the Little Sugar Creek Greenway and has lovely skyline view. Vivace serves Italian favorites like fresh homemade pasta and pizzas, authentic Italian meat and seafood dishes, and an all-Italian wine list. When you dine on Vivace's patio, you may just feel like you are actually in Italy. This is a wonderful place to take friends if you want to impress!

10. Dilworth Tasting Room

The Dilworth Tasting Room is a new establishment located where the iconic Dilworth Billiards used to be. The owners have transformed the space from an old pool hall to an elegant wine bar. Inside Dilworth Tasting Room, you will find plush couches and loveseats where you can sit with friends and enjoy a glass of wine or a cocktail.

Outside, you'll find a beautiful patio filled with luscious plants, greenery, and flowers. Outdoor tables and chairs are nestled around a pretty koi pond and beautiful lanterns create a romantic glow on this patio. If you are a wine lover, you must try Dilworth Tasting Room on your next night out!

11. All American Pub

All American Pub is a popular spot for Panther's Fans. The restaurant is located in South End and has proclaimed itself the Panther's viewing bar on game days. With a large outdoor patio located right next to the light rail, this makes for an excellent spot to before, during, and after the game.

All American is also a great place for lunch or dinner during the week. With traditional American fare and drink specials almost every day, this patio is perfect for enjoying a casual meal while catching up with friends.

12. The Peculiar Rabbit

The Peculiar Rabbit is an awesome spot in Plaza Midwood that actually has two outdoor patios; one located on the ground floor and another up on the rooftop. The rooftop patio at Peculiar Rabbit offers stellar views of the Charlotte skyline and of the eclectic Plaza Midwood neighborhood below. The restaurant is a trendy, farm-to-fork gastropub and offers customers interesting menu choices, like Duck confit ravioli, lamb burgers, and a unique short-rib grilled cheese.

13. Whiskey Warehouse

Whiskey Warehouse is another Plaza Midwood spot with a casual, American sports bar vibe and an excellent rooftop patio with fantastic city views. Any given evening, you'll find diners enjoying a bite and a beverage on this patio, as it's a great spot to watch the sunset over Charlotte. As it is in close proximity to The Peculiar Rabbit, you can combine the two for a full night of fun in one of our favorite neighborhoods!

14. Kid Cashew

Kid Cashew in Dilworth offers customers a menu full of modern Mediterranean cuisine. The space has a rustic chic vibe, and the patio is enormous and filled with tables and umbrellas for diners enjoying the sun. Kid Cashew's outdoor space is a beautiful spot to enjoy a fresh Greek salad or hummus platter with friends. You'll notice that Kid Cashew grows all it's own herbs right there on its patio, so you'll be surrounded by fresh rosemary, thyme, and basil as you enjoy your outdoor meal.

15. RuRu's Tacos + Tequila

RuRu's Tacos + Tequila not only offers some of the best Mexican food in Charlotte, but its patio is to die for. The gorgeous bricks, colorful umbrellas, and plenty of seating will make you feel like you are enjoying your meal near a beautiful Mexican beach! A large outdoor bar serves any kind of margarita or tequila you can dream of, and the food is positively mouthwatering. Beautiful greenery and plants surround the space, creating a warm environment.
