At least 84 years. That's how long Clyde Cooper's Barbeque has been serving up its chopped, coarse, or famous sliced bbq in Raleigh. And even though you may not have been around since 1938, chances are good, if you're from anywhere near the City of Oaks, then you've probably had an occasion to sink your teeth into this mouthwatering tradition. Because when it comes to bbq in North Carolina, it's hard to beat Clyde Cooper's!
Recently moved into a shiny new location (sadly, they lost the old location) just around the corner and on Wilmington Street, Clyde Cooper's is the place to go when you feel like going hog wild.
Although the menu is brimming with all things bbq, it's the pork that drives people back time and again.
Of course, the vegetables and the side orders are a must as well. The coleslaw, alone, will make you order enough to bring home for later.
And don't pass up the Clyde Cooper dining experience either. The digs here may be new, but the ambiance is just as nostalgic as ever.
They've even painted the likeness of their famous sign that used to be on the side of the old building... it's now front and center inside the new location.
Whether you're craving bbq pork, ribs, chicken, or a tender cut of beef brisket, Clydes won't disappoint. And never has.
It may be hard being the best, but Clyde Cooper's has been on top for so many years that it just comes natural now.
It's been voted amoung the Top 10 BBQ Restaurants in the Country — and it's easy to see (er, TASTE) why!
Don't walk, run on over to Clyde Cooper's Barbeque at 327 Wilmington in Raleigh and find out what all of the hullabaloo is about when it comes to this bbq in North Carolina.
